Lack of sleep, stress and diet can all contribute to the way your body feels pain.
As Physio’s we often recommend exercises to assist pain, which are an important part of your treatment plan, but it’s important not to ignore the other factors that might be contributing to your sore back, neck, shoulder etc.
The first step is acknowledging that you might have things going on in your life that (for example) are causing stress, which can influence your nervous systems’ experience of pain. While sometimes these things may be out of your control, being aware of their effect on your pain can be a great start to feeling better.
